Founder / Owner
Aaron DiNapoli
Aaron was inspired to create a space where individuals could find solace and strength in nature while rebuilding their lives. His own experiences in recovery illuminated the profound impact that outdoor adventures can have on mental and emotional well-being. At Mountain House Recovery, Aaron combines his love for the outdoors with structured recovery support, offering residents opportunities for hiking, fishing, rafting, and other outdoor activities. He believes that these experiences foster resilience, community, and a renewed sense of purpose, making recovery not just a process of healing, but an exciting and transformative adventure.
Program Director
Dylan Starrs
Dylan brings a wealth of experience to Mountain House, having spent years in the behavioral health field as a case manager and coach at Lighthouse Recovery Resources and most recently, serving as the Director of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Family Program at Jaywalker Lodge. Prior to dedicating himself to aiding men and their families on their paths to recovery, Dylan enjoyed a successful career as a PGA of America golf professional. Additionally, he is an accomplished musician and songwriter, maintaining a regular performance schedule. With his diverse background and a steadfast commitment to the recovery process, Dylan is poised to help the men at Mountain House create lives beyond their wildest dreams.
Alumni Coordinator
Travis Anderson
Originally from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Travis moved to Flagstaff four years ago for a fresh start. Since arriving Travis has traveled all around the American Southwest exploring new places and making friends along the way. Travis is an active member in the recovery community of Flagstaff and has extensive experience working in the recovery industry. Travis is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University.

John Cohen LPC
John Cohen is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been providing therapeutic services for over 30 years. His career experience includes many years as a wilderness therapist, including clinical director, psychiatric hospital clinician, and a clinician in the juvenile justice system. He also lived in Costa Rica developing and directing an adventure therapy program for young adults. Johns’ years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and parents has shaped his knowledge and belief in the absolute value of honesty and integrity to solidify the treatment process. John specializes in addiction, failure to launch, adoption, attachment, anxiety, and depression.
Recovery Coach
Alex Cutler
A veteran of the treatment industry, Alex has worn many hats over the years. However, his true professional passion has come through recovery coaching. Alex see’s recovery as a puzzle. He is the guy helping his clients find and fit each piece of success together. Alex’s Mountain House client’s work on skills like budgeting, financial independence, positive self image, and spiritual connection. Alex believes that with accountability, community, and right action we just might have a chance to free ourselves from addiction. A long time Flagstaff resident Alex now resides with his wife and young son in Denver, CO. When not working with clients Alex spends as much time as he can with his family, outside in the beauty of the Southwest and the Mountains.
Primary Therapist, EMDR & Trauma Specialist
Alaina Juneau LCSW, CCAT
Alaina Juneau earned Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Social Work from Bethany College in West Virginia. She then went on to earn her Masters Degree in Social Work with an area of emphasis on mental health and substance abuse from The Ohio State University. She has experience in a variety of settings including partial hospitalization programs, residential treatment, and recovery settings. Alaina takes a strengths based approach to empower clients to move through their traumas and address their substance usage at a foundational level. She utilizes EMDR therapy in conjunction with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to bring understanding to the past, explore what is and isn't
working in the present, and helps clients move toward their desired future. Alaina has extensive training in adventure therapy, and became a Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist in 2021, which allows her to help clients connect their experiences on the Adventure Trips to their internal experiences and interpersonal relationships.
In her free time, Alaina can be found training for her next ultra marathon, mountain biking, or hiking with her dogs.
